This is the first call of our annual 24 Hour World Tour. We are talking to Rebecca and she is showing us the Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile long path that takes you deep down Boston's history. It happens to connect 16 different historic sites. First, we are looking at The Granary Burying Grounds on the Freedom Trail. There are at least 3,000 bodies buried in this burial ground, but since not all bodies are recorded, we expect that there would actually be around 7,000. These grounds are located right next to Park Street Church that was built in 1809. She then told us about the famous historical figures that impacted our history, including Paul Revere, John Hancock, and Samuel Adams. Both John Hancock and Paul Revere's gravestones were built in the nineteenth century and are much more modern than expected.
