He owns the Dallas Mavericks. We asked him about Shark Tank and what he looks for in the contestants. He looks for people with different backgrounds, and knowledge. He says it is fun to get a deal on Shark Tank. On TV a deal lasts about 10 minutes. In real life, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
We asked about leaders that he looks up to and he told us Steve Jobs, and Elon Musk. One piece of advice he gave to middle school students like us is to not stress. He also told us to get outdoors or read a book and just be a kid without your face in electronics. He also said a book can open a new door. His favorite books are about technology.
He compared the Mavericks players to 20 brothers because he can't choose a favorite player. Although he only knows a few songs, he likes to play the piano. He played lots of sports but the ones he was better at was baseball and basketball. It was a great first skype!
